Ten years ago, Macclesfield was a vibrant town with lush greenery and peaceful roads. The high-street was bustling with people, and a monumental variety of shops lined the sides, with markets and celebrations bringing people from across Cheshire to our town. So what happened?
As the years have gone by, the amount of greenery in Macclesfield has dropped dramatically. As the population of Macclesfield has grown, so has the need for new housing developments, meaning that more space is being taken over by houses, apartments and businesses. Also, the amount of cars and delivery vehicles passing through our once peaceful town has risen, causing congestion and dangers to children playing.
