A series of events are being held at Macclesfield Library to mark the centenerary of the introduction of military conscription – when all men aged between 18 and 41 were signed up to fight for their country.
A unique exhibition depicting choices in WW1 and choices today, to coincide with the centenary of the introduction of conscription.
Focussing on Macclesfield men and women whose conscience would not allow them to take up arms or serve in the military. Also featuring two Family Workshops and an Evening Performance.
