Funny lady Shappi Khorsandi is back in Buxton with her latest show Oh My Country! From Morris Dancing to Morrissey. During the show Shappi will celebrate the 40th anniversary of her arrival in Britain. She’ll be not only reclaiming patriotism but also sending a love letter to her adopted land.
If you haven’t seen Shappi live she offers whip-crack jokes and is effortlessly funny as she handles every subject with a razor sharp wit, softened only by her deliciously mischievous delivery. Shappi is a well-known face from TV, having made regular appearances on top programmes such as Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Have I Got News For You and QI.
Shappi Khorsandi who was recently elected as president of the British Humanist Association is also the bestselling author of A Beginners Guide to Acting English and her debut novel Nina is not OK, published by Ebury in July 2016.
