A day with Arley’s head gardener Gordon Baillie

A rare opportunity to spend a day behind the scenes at one of the UKs most prestigeous
and historic gardens.

Pick your day and season and work with Gordon on a one-to-one basis, join in with a variety of seasonal tasks, such as propagating, pruning, dead heading, staking and cultivating and depending on when you choose to come, it could be a rare opportunity to work on the historic herbaceous border at Arley.

Gordon is a graduate in horticulture from Strathclyde University and has worked on several estates over the last 20 years from Lord Shawcross’s Estate near Eastbourne, Lord Sackville at Knole Park and Sting’s secluded estate ‘somewhere’ in Wiltshire!
