Macclesfield based Cre8 charity have been given £650 by the Ladies in Business networking group – which chose Cre8 as their charity of the year for 2018 – and raised the money through fundraising activities at quarterly events.
Melissa Bowers, Director at Harts Limited commented “we were delighted with the amount raised and thank everyone who has attended one of our Ladies in Business events for their contribution. The donation will be used by Cre8 for much needed equipment and some trips for the young people”
The cheque was represented to Katie Wardle from Cre8 charity on Tuesday 26th February at the Harts offices in Macclesfield by representatives of Ladies in Business; Melissa Bowers (Harts Accountants), Michele Fynan (RBS) and Kayley Wilson (Blunts Solicitors).
Cre8 Macclesfield Youth & Community Programme is based on the Moss Estate and is part of St Barnabas Church. They run activities and services for children, young people, young adults and their families, focusing on those who are at risk or hard to reach.
Ladies in Business is a quarterly evening networking event organised for business women in the Macclesfield and Cheshire areas by Harts Accountants, Royal Bank of Scotland, Blunts Solicitors and Jobling Gowler Solicitors. Dates for 2019 are 20th March, 12th June, 11th September and 27th November. The charity of the year for 2019 is ROAR – Reach out and Recover.
