Tea and Talks
Monthly gatherings with tea and scrumptious cakes in a relaxing atmosphere, with a 20 minute talk on an interesting topic 4.00 to 5.30
£3 per person (Free to Friends of ArtSpace)
June 1st we will have the well known story teller Lavinia Murray talking on “Telling Tales”
Tuesday June 3rd at 7.30 Forum – And remember the forum is an open group for anyone who is interested in what ArtSpace stands for; what is going on; – or indeed what you would like to see going on.
The main topics will be: “How do you see the future of ArtSpace” and “Come along and get involved”
June 8th “Making Mannequins and Masks workshop” with Stephanie Ramage; John Hartshorn and Jane Howie
10.00 to 14.30, £10 or £7 for Friends of ArtSpace. Tea and coffee available – but bring along your own packed lunch
10.00 – 12noon : Tailor’s dummies – do you have one or would you like one – or are they too expensive? Come to ArtSpace and find out how to make one. Stephanie Ramage will demonstrate how it is done.
12.00 to 12.30 break for lunch
12.30 to 2.30 John will be teaching how to make an African mask, and Jane , how to make a carnival mask
The day will end with a very brief African drumming taster – wearing your newly made mask of course!
Saturday 21st June starting at 2.00 the BARNABY PARADE CREATED, MADE AND RUN BY ARTSPACE

Last Wednesday in the month : Five Rhythms Dance Session so in June, it is the 25th
7:45 – 9pm. This is a freestyle dance activity and is open to everyone. Participants are asked to make a donation to ArtSpace. Free to Friends of ArtSpace. Come along and give it a whirl. Please let Jane know on 07709591703 if you are planning to come.
Last Sunday of each month at Treacle Market: Sketchcrawl, June 29th –
If you’re intrigued by seeing people sitting around Treacle Market sketching and fancy having a go yourself meet by the Town Hall at about 10. Bring your own materials if you have them but if you’re a complete beginner we can provide sketchbooks and pencils. Come and have a go – it’s fun and you might surprise yourself!
