
Meet the Salt Line Ranger and library staff and build a wooden bird nesting box, or bat box or bug box to take away and put up at home or to give to someone else as a gift. Decide on the day what box to build. Although nesting season is well underway, a bird box can be put up at any time of year ready for next season. Bat and bug boxes are likely to be used all year round once discovered by the insects and bats. Booking in advance is essential. Cost £6.00 per box.
This event has allocated time slots of 30 minutes per session with 5 persons building a box per session. i.e. one family of four may comprise of two building and two accompanying etc. So the booking relates only to the person building the box. No more than two accompanying persons to each box builder.
