A production of Charlotte Brontë’s classic love story Jane Eyre by the popular Chapterhouse Theatre Company, is touring to Pavilion Arts Centre in August.

The famous tale centres on a young woman who despite being orphaned as a child and suffering ill treatment works hard to get an education. The newly qualified governess arrives at the mysterious Thornfield Hall deep in the Yorkshire moors and meets enigmatic Mr Rochester. So begins this most unforgettable of love stories. When a secret from the past returns to haunt them, can Jane and Rochester’s passion survive the forces that might tear them apart forever?

Chapterhouse Theatre Company is experienced in adapting novels to the stage. Previous Chapterhouse tours to Buxton have included Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights which have proved popular with audiences and reviewers.

“What Chapterhouse does is theatre at the coalface, carried by the power of acting … and they do it with distinction.” The Stage

Jayne Eyre takes place on Sunday 30 August at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £14. For more information or to buy tickets call the Box Office 01298 72190 or visit www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk
