Would you like to use your skills and passion in becoming one of the local RSPCA Branch`s 14 charity trustees? As a Trustee you will be part of a team that is legally responsible for the effective use of the branch`s resources in accordance with the objects of the National RSPCA and for providing leadership and direction in the planning and decision making process that controls all the affairs of the branch.
The North Region is one of the busiest in the country for the RSPCA Inspectorate, and as one of the branches supporting this group the demand on our animal welfare services is immense. We are a relatively small, volunteer run branch (no paid members of staff) that is highly effective and works incredibly hard to achieve fantastic rehoming figures, especially considering we don`t have a rehoming centre of our own. With ambitious long-term plans we need the help and support of other like-minded people to share the workload and drive the branch forward.
Key roles we are particularly looking to fill are Flag Day Secretary, Volunteer Co-ordinator, Cat Rehoming Co-ordinator, Deputy Treasurer & Box Secretary.
Experience isn`t essential as training and support will be given. More importantly you will have time, commitment, enthusiasm & a natural desire to be successful in your role knowing your efforts are giving vulnerable and often neglected and abused animals the opportunity to live the rest of their lives in a caring environment, with people who love them and can provide appropriately for their needs.
Before election/co-option to the committee potential candidates will be required to serve a probationary period and join the National RSPCA as a member.
Contact the Branch Chair as soon as possible for further information on any of the roles. Tel: 01625 669620 or Email: enquiries@rspca-macclesfield.org.uk
If you`ve ever wanted to make a positive difference to local animal welfare now`s your chance! The doors are open and expect a warm welcome.
