Macclesfield MP David Rutley joined the crowds at Jodrell Bank this half term for the first ever ‘Amazed by Science’ Festival.
Jodrell Bank was one of a number of attractions across Cheshire and Warrington celebrating the best of the region’s science, technology and engineering. Our area is one of the most important science centres in the UK, and is home to world class organisations, including Siemens, who David met at the event.
All the sponsors and partners in the event recognise that to maintain the area’s strong performance in science and technology, and drive growth in the local and regional economy, it is essential to continue to focus on scientific advances and technological change. The event is a joint initiative between Marketing Cheshire and Jodrell Bank.
David spent time touring the event and chatting to visitors to find out about the key attractions of ‘Amazed by Science.’ He said, “Amazed by Science is a vitally important initiative. We need to promote science to a new generation and this is a great way of doing it. I am delighted that Amazed by Science has been supported by the team at Jodrell Bank. This is a great platform for science.”
