Cheshire Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery outside the Loch Fyne restaurant in Brook Lane, Alderley Edge.
At around 11.45pm on Wednesday 9 July 2014, members of staff had just finished locking up the restaurant and walked to their cars to leave for the evening.
As the last member of staff started to drive off the car park she was approached by a man carrying a knife, who began to smash the front passenger window of her car.
The victim was forced out of the vehicle and taken to the back door of the restaurant. After failing to gain entry, he then moved to the front and began to break in through the front entrance.
The offender made a search of the premises and stole a quantity of cash. Personal items were also taken from the victim, including a white faced DKNY watch, white iPhone 5 in a dark purple case and a Black Amazon Kindle, also in a dark purple case.
The offender then ran off on to Brook Lane turning right towards Alderley Village.
The offender is described as a white man, slim build and tall with dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing, a dark balaclava and white trainers which had some red on them.
DS Paul Basford, from Wilmslow CID, said, “This was understandably a very frightening ordeal for the victim. Thankfully, she only sustained minor injuries during the incident.
“Enquiries are on-going and we are doing all we can to catch the person responsible and bring them to justice.”
