Fresh from yet another sold out and stunning success at this year’s Edinburgh Festival, Nicholas Parsons pays a visit to Macclesfield with his hugely popular one man show.
For more than 46 years Nicholas has hosted BBC Radio 4′s ‘Just a Minute‘, was also the quiz host of ‘Sale of the Century’ which ran for 14 years attracting audiences of more than 21 million people and for those old enough to remember, he was also the straight man to comedian Arthur Haynes in the 60s.
He has appeared with the ‘Comic Strip Presents….’, played the Narrator in the 25th year anniversary of ‘The Rocky Horror Show‘, appeared in ‘The New Statesman‘, ‘Doctor Who‘, ‘Cluedo‘, spent 4 years as a regular on ‘The Benny Hill Show‘, guest hosted ‘Have I Got News For You‘ and was a contestant on ‘Celebrity Mastermind‘.
His life as an actor saw him feature in ‘Doctor in Love‘, ‘Carry on Regardless‘, ‘Carlton-Browne of the F.O‘, ‘Too Many Crooks‘ & ‘The Wrong Box‘ to name but a few.
