Food4MaccDirect Producer Visits & Events 2015

Macclesfield-based food ordering scheme, Food4MaccDirect, has released details of the 2015 calendar of producer visits and events, providing the opportunity to visit key suppliers and learn more about how they work and why we should buy from them. 

St George’s Eve Meal – Wednesday April 22nd, 6-9pm 
A truly delicious three-course meal using locally sourced produce (the majority by Food4MaccDirect) created and delivered by the students of Macclesfield College and served in their Silk Restaurant. This promises to be a great evening with the extra bonus of a Food4MaccDirect prize draw hamper. (Price: £15)

Walk Mill Flour Visit & Tearoom Visit – Saturday May 9th, 12.00noon
See how the locally grown wheat is stone-ground, sifted, graded and bagged before being sent of for sale or used by our bread supplier Langley Loaves. There’ll be plenty of time for a visit to the fabulous Tea Room too!

Reaseheath College Tour & Shop – Wednesday June 24th, 1.30pm
We’ll be treated to a guided tour of their large innovative Food Technology Department’s facilities and resources and see the students in action. There’ll also be time for a visit to the shop where you can stock up on butter, cheese and their delicious ice-cream!

Cloverbank Lamb Visit & Garden Tour – Saturday August 8th, 11.00am 
Learn about their organically reared lambs, which are grazed on clover-rich fields and visit their award-winning lakeside garden.
