Cheshire Police is appealing for information following a hit and run collision between a cyclists and a Land Rover in Macclesfield.The collision is believed to have taken place at approximately 9.00pm on Wednesday 8 April 2015, on Hurdsfield Road, near Macclesfield Town Centre.The cyclists, a 35-year-old man from Macclesfield, was travelling along Hurdsfield Road in the direction of Macclesfield town centre, when he was involved in a collision with a green old-style Land Rover, which was towing a caravan, possibly a Compass.
The collision is believed to have occurred as the Land Rover, which was travelling in the opposite direction to the cyclist, turned right into Fence Avenue.
Following the collision driver of the Land Rover drove away from the scene without stopping. The cyclist was taken to Salford Royal hospital for treatment; he has since been released having suffered soft tissue damage.
