The resuls are in for the new Macclesfield Parish Council which will be responsible for allotments, public toilets, town centre management, street furniture, Christmas lights, floral displays, Weston Community Centre and CCTV cameras in the town.
The council comprises eight Conservative and four Labour parish councillors:
Broken Cross and Upton: Liz Durham (Conservative) and Martin Hardy (Conservative)
Central: Beverley Dooley (Conservative) and Janet Jackson (Labour)
Tytherington: Ainsley Arnold (Conservative) and Gareth Jones (Conservative)
East: Philip Bolton (Conservative)
Hursdsfield: Matthew Shamrocks (Labour)
South: Chris Andrew (Conservative) and Neil Puttick (Labour)
West and Ivy: Alift Harewood (Labour) and Adam Schofield (Conservative)
The Parish Council will have an annual budget of £575,000 funded by a parish precept, which will increase council tax bills by £33 on average.
