MP welcomes Naturally Different to town

Macclesfield MP, David Rutley, welcomed “Naturally Different” to Macclesfield town centre, when he visited the new shop on the Market Place.

David was given a tour of the shop by owners Elizabeth and Stephen Hirst, where he was introduced to their range of environmentally friendly, fairtrade healthy foods which is on offer. In addition to this, David learnt more about the business’ plans for the future, and the positive reasons why the owners chose to locate their shop in Macclesfield. He was pleased to see many locally produced items on display.

Naturally Different aims to make healthy foods accessible at reasonable prices, providing an outlet for local suppliers and promote environmentally friendly products. This means the shop is able to help many people who have a particular interest in what is in their food and where it comes from, such as allergies, general fitness, dietary specifications, fair trade, or simply support for the community.

The shop is one of several new independent and chain stores which have decided to recently locate in the town centre, as Macclesfield looks to move forward as an attractive retail location, following the news that the developers, Wilson Bowden has pulled out of the regeneration plans, ending months of uncertainty.

Speaking at the visit, David said, “It was a pleasure to welcome a new independent business to the town centre, which will help to make Macclesfield more interesting and unique destination. I understand that customers have been impressed by the range, quality and price of the goods on offer, and I wish Stephen and Elizabeth every success with this venture. This is further proof that the town centre is moving forward positively.”
