The Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle recently sponsored a day out for thirty pupils from Year 4 at Christ the King Primary School, Macclesfield.
Their day at the Petty Pool Trust Outdoor Centre in Sandiway was part of the Clubs Community support programme to develop the confidence of young people, and reconnect them with nature and the out-doors – part of the initiative for the Urban Kids Go Outdoors.
The children with six teachers were split into three groups to take part in outdoor activities including zip-wire, orienteering and team building.
To add to the fun day out, the President of Macclesfield Castle Rotary club James Anderton [ back row second from right] took on the Zip-Wire Challenge to raise funds for Rotary charities.
The next community support activity for the club and members will be mock interviewing at secondary schools in the town.
