The popular soprano Lesley Garrett will be at Buxton Opera House on Sunday 8 November, with a show celebrating 30 years in the music industry.
Garrett has enjoyed one of the most successful careers of any modern-day, classically trained sopranos. The breadth and quality of her work combined with her down-to-earth northern charm, has won her both critical acclaim and the affection of music lovers.
Lesley has a long history with Buxton Opera House, making some of her first performances at the Buxton Festival before joining English National Opera in 1984 as a principal soprano. She has since performed across the world in both comic and serious operatic roles and more recently has carved a career as a TV and radio personality (Who Do You Think you, Strictly Come Dancing, Loose Women, Classic FM, FA Cup Finals).
Hosted by Mike Neary, audiences are invited to hear Lesley’s behind-the-scenes stories and anecdotes, providing a unique and entertaining insight into her life and career.
Tickets for Lesley Garrett are priced at £24 and discounts are available. To book or for more information call 01298 72190 or visit ww.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk
