Following a hugely popular orchestral concert in the Opera House last month, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic will be concluding their residency in Buxton with a delightful violin and cello recital on 9 December at 1pm.
Performing at the monthly Coffee Concert that takes place at Pavilion Arts Centre, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic duo, violinist James Clark and principal cellist Jonathan Aasgaard will offer a programme by Ravel and Glière.
Clark’s classical music career has spanned 30 years and his accomplishments are wide ranging. High profile appointments have included leading the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and as joint leader of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra until August 2015. Aasgaard has been performing with the RLPO since 1999. Originally from Oslo, he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
There will be the chance to meet Jonathan Clark and Jonathan Aasgaard over coffee, following the performance.
The show takes place on Wednesday 9 December at 1pm at Pavilion Arts Centre. Tickets are priced at £7 in advance and £10 on the door.
