RSPB Macclesfield Local Group will be hosting an indoor meeting at Macclesfield Methodist Church, Westminster Road, Macclesfield on Tuesday 8th December at 7.45 pm
OUR LOCAL NATURE RESERVES – Martin James and Joe Pimblett
In a change from the usual format Martin James (Countryside Ranger,Countryside Ranger Service, Cheshire East Council) and Joe Pimblett (Reserves Manager for Cheshire East, Cheshire Wildlife Trust) will talk about their work at Macclesfield’s local reserves – in particular, Tegg’s Nose Country Park – managed by Cheshire East Council, and Danes Moss, a SSSI (Site of Special Scientificinterest) managed by Cheshire Wildlife Trust. Both of these sites are literally on our doorstep.
During a panel discussion following the presentations there will be an opportunity to question Martin and Joe on all aspects of conservation locally but, in particular, in relation to sites and reserves for which they and their respective employers are responsible.
At the refreshment interval complimentary mince pies will be served with your tea and coffee.

There is ample free parking in Whalley Hayes Car Park opposite the venue
Sales stalls offering a range of RSPB goods and the opportunity to purchase high quality bird food.
