The Chandelier, produced by award-winning North West artists Lauren Sagar and Sharon Campbell, won the National Lottery Good Causes Award in the Best Arts Project Category in 2014 and British Women Artists Competition 2015.
The Chandelier of Lost Earrings, which stands 2.5 metres tall, is a sculpture made from over 3000 single earrings donated by owners who have lost the other half of the pair.
Co-founder of Macc Art Lounge, Ché Finch said; ‘’Thanks to the generosity and support of the Grosvenor Centre, East Street Arts, Macclesfield Town Council and Macc Art Lounge, we are able to bring the Chandelier of Lost Earrings into the heart of Macclesfield.”
“I look forward to welcoming the exhibit and encourage everyone to come into the centre to see this breathtaking and prestigious piece of art.’’
Grosvenor Centre Manager Ed Kennedy said; ‘’This is a great project for the centre to be involved in and we are delighted to be funding such as fantastic and award-winning piece of artwork in the town centre.”
“We really hope this will attract new people to Macclesfield.’’
The Chandelier will be on show between Wednesday 16th and Tuesday 22nd December between 11am and 4pm and admission is free.
