Families need to get their wellies ready for a half term walk at Quarry Bank.
Daily Welly Walks in the woods near Styal are being organised to keep the kids occupied and outdoors during the holiday.
“With the weather the way it has been it can be tempting to stay indoors, but if you dress correctly there’s plenty of fun to be had outside,” said Kate Picker, visitor experience officer at Quarry Bank.
“We will lead the way, but it is a great opportunity for some family time and even dogs are welcome if they are kept on their leads.”
When you get back to the yard families are invited to enjoy a hot drink or snack in the restaurant or head for the mill to join a craft activity making welly pegs.
This event runs between 11am and 4pm Monday through to Friday.
The Welly Walks are daily from Monday to Friday starting at 12.30pm and 2pm. They start in the Mill Yard and are expected to last at least 30 minutes.
Both events are free, but admission charges apply.
