Annie Haslam and Sonja Kristina, two of the most dynamic female vocalists to emerge from the classic rock era of the 70s will perform live at Buxton Opera House for the first time on Sunday 17 April at 7.30pm.
Recognised as being the first to blend progressive rock with symphonic arrangements, Renaissance, spearheaded by Annie Haslam since 1971, regularly feature a full orchestra in their recordings. Renaissance is a band with a rich history unique unto themselves as progressive rock pioneers who rose from the ashes of the seminal UK rock band, The Yardbirds. Their career has spanned forty plus years and the group still have their own fan base keen to hear the 5 octave voice of Annie Haslam and the masterful songwriting skills of Michael Dunford.
Curved Air is best known for the single Back Street Love. Fronted by Sonja Kristina, they continue to entertain old and new fans alike and recently released their seventh studio album, North Star.
