There are approximately 3000 bricks on the underpass on Park Lane, Macclesfield.
Come along, pick your brick, paint it, and help create a mural for the whole town.
For 10 days from Monday, May 23, a different artist from the town will be on hand to help would-be artists create their mini-masterpieces.
It’s totally free, materials will be provided and some of the best artists in Macclesfield will be on hand to help paint your ideas including:
Ralph McGaul, Kails Tresson Julie Hamer, TJ Dolan, Harry Westbrook, Jean Westbrook and more….
The Brick Project intends to let the people of Macclesfield – and those who visit – express how they feel about the town by decorating the Park Lane underpass. Your job is to design and hand paint one of 1000 bricks in this wall to show how you feel about Macclesfield.
Your work could be about things you enjoy doing in Macclesfield, local wildlife, a picture of your friend or anything that inspires you. The only rule is you have to express yourself through pictures, no words allowed!
When each of the bricks is finished, your work will be a part of a giant colourful communal masterpiece.
