Ballet Theatre UK is currently on tour with the much loved tale of Pinocchio, stopping off at Buxton Opera House on Sunday 5 June at 2.30pm.
Pinocchio, a wooden puppet, has only one wish, to become a real boy. The Ballet stars lovingly bring to life the cheeky marionette puppet with an unruly nose, and follow his epic quest as he overcomes obstacles, faces consequences and even ends up in the belly of a whale, in order to make his dream come true. Set to a stunning classical score this original production will delight ballet audiences and families alike and promises to carve a new love for Pinocchio through the magic of classical dance.
Pinocchio will be joined by iconic characters such as Geppetto, The Blue Fairy and Jiminy Cricket, to offer a visually stunning and dreamy production of this classic journey of discovery.
Local performers will also tread the boards in June as part of Buxton Opera House’s Young Company musical production of The Adams Family (Friday10).
Pinocchio takes place on Sunday 5 June at 2.30pm. Tickets are priced at £25 and discounts are available. To buy tickets call the Box Office on 01298 72190 or visitwww.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk
