Amateur sleuths can have a go solving a murder mystery in a new interactive theatre experience Mob Murder. The scene of the crime will be Buxton’s Pavilion Arts Centre, transformed into 1930s New York, during a period of unrest within the Mafia.
The action unfolds as the heads of the five families assemble in Central Park to discuss bringing things under control. But before the peace talks can begin the boss is shot dead by an unseen assailant. As accusations and bullets start to fly, the five families descend into chaos and bodies start to mount up in the city streets. The NYPD have the job of uncovering the truth behind the assassination before the innocent of New York get caught up in all out mob war.
The murder mystery night is part of a Talking Scarlet residency at Buxton Opera House during August, which will also bring to stage a production of Death Toll (11 to 13 Aug), set in a desolate ex-hunting lodge in the Scottish Highlands. An adaptation of Jekyll & Hyde will also be on stage from (15 to 19 Aug)
Mob Murder takes place on Sunday 14 August at 7.30pm. Tickets for Talking Scarlet events range from £14 to £18 and discounts are available. Book for two Talking Scarlet dramas (Jekyll & Hyde and Death Toll) and receive 15% off.
