Calling all cyclists.
The annual Bollington Bikefest, organised by Macclesfield & District Lions and Bollington Town Council – to help raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice – returns on Sunday 4th September.
Routes this year include:
- The Grimshaw Grueller (72 miles/116km over the Cheshire and Staffordshire hills)
- The Bolly Bash (48 miles/76km along Cheshire and Staffordshire back lanes)
- The Twenty is Plenty (12 miles/20km along National Cycleway 55 – relatively flat, along a disused railway line).
Entry costs £20 for the Bolly Bash and The Grimshaw Grueller – or £25 on the day.
The Twenty is Plenty costs £8 per rider, or £25 for a family of four – no increase in price for paying on the day.
There is a free barbecue for returning riders, as well as refreshments by the Macclesfield & District Lions and a bar by the Bollington Brewing Company for everybody to enjoy.
There’ll be a feeding station at the Rudyard Lake Hotel.
