After wowing audiences and receiving rave reviews earlier this year in Liverpool, a stage production Lennon: Through A Glass Onion about Beatles legend John Lennon will return to the UK this autumn for an extensive 36-date tour.
Part-concert and part-biography, this two-hander coming to Buxton Pavilion Arts Centre on Sunday 4 September, showcases 31 hits of Lennon and Lennon/McCartney including Imagine, Revolution and Jealous Guy in a kaleidoscope collage of song, word and emotion. The production opened in Australia and since then has played Off Broadway, New York; around the USA and also Japan. The show stunned audiences at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival before winning acclaim in Lennon’s birthplace in April.
Liverpool actor Daniel Taylor takes the lead role and has been praised for revealing the true essence of one of the world’s most celebrated musicians. Daniel has experience of playing the great and the good on stage following winning critical acclaim as the lead role in The Tommy Cooper Show. More recently he starred as Mickey in Down The Dock Road. Daniel will be joined on stage by accompanist Stewart D’Arrietta.
