Friday 2nd September and two more drivers who either couldn’t read or chose to ignore the ‘disabled parking only’ signs.
The driver of the van above actually drove into Unicorn Gateway, the one way street by the town hall, the wrong way – to access a disabled bay. Needless to say he didn’t have a blue badge. The driver of the blue Jaguar, who I guess was wanting to use the space himself, had a word – and the van moved off. If this hadn’t happened I’m confident the van would have parked up there for the duration.
It’s not just an inconvenience being disabled – it’s difficult, and for the severely disabled life is extremely tough.
I wonder if these drivers ever consider their thoughtlessness means someone with a genuine need has been prevented from parking their own vehicle.
If you’re not disabled and don’t have a blue badge – don’t park in a disabled bay!
One day you may be unlucky enough to have a genuine claim on that bay yourself.
