Appeal following fatal collision in Whaley Bridge

Around 1.50pm on Friday 9th September 2016 a Road Traffic collision occurred on Buxton Road, Whaley Bridge, High peak.

The collision involved a white Citroen Picasso and a dark grey Yamaha motorbike with yellow wheel rims.

The rider of the bike, who police believe to be 66 year old man, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident or events leading up to it. Police are also trying to establish contact with the motorcyclist’s family.
