Appeal for witnesses following Congleton robbery

At 6.01pm on Sunday 13 November 2016 a man entered the Spar in West Street brandishing a kitchen knife and demanded money.

The man, who was wearing a balaclava and dark clothing, then fled the scene with cash and may have left on a bicycle.

The offender is described as white, of slim build and around 5ft 3ins tall.

DI Claire Jesson said: “The shop assistant wasn’t injured during the incident but was left shocked by his ordeal. I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the image, or saw suspicious activity in the area or has any information to contact police.”

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 683 of 13 November 2016.
