Officers are appealing for information to help trace a man wanted in connection with a robbery at a bank in Poynton.
Christopher Bell, aged 27, from Brodie Avenue, Allerton in Liverpool is wanted by officers following a robbery at the Royal Bank of Scotland on Friday, April 29.
Three men entered the store through a hole they created in the roof and jumped down in the main bank where they threatened staff with violence and made demands for money before escaping with a holdall containing thousands of pounds.
At the back of the premises was a stolen vehicle which the offenders had arrived in. Members of the public attempted to capture the men by preventing them from being able to get into their vehicle which led them to escape the scene on foot.
Paul Hughes, 32, and Sean McNeil, 25, were each sentenced to 12 years in relation to this offence however Christopher Bell remains outstanding.
Bell is described as being white, around 6ft 1 inches tall, of a slim build and with red hair and blue eyes.
Detective Inspector Claire Jesson, of Macclesfield Local Policing Unit, said: “Christopher Bell is still outstanding for this offence and in light of the convictions we are now renewing our appeal to find him.
“This is a serious offence and Bell poses a risk to our communities. I would urge anyone with information as to his current whereabouts to contact Cheshire Police immediately. Anyone found assisting this man in avoiding capture will be dealt with appropriately.
“In addition, I would appeal to Christopher to hand himself in. He will be unable to avoid arrest indefinitely and we will not give up on our attempts to apprehend him.”
