BT email scam

A new email phishing scam is currently doing the rounds

The email purports to come from BT – claiming that a recent payment has been declined.

Check out the sender and you’ll see it’s actually from postmaster@HKD48.COM – not BT

Advise any elderly or susceptible friends and relatives to junk the message – and do not respond.

Your monthly payment was recently declined. The decline could be due to insufficient funds, card expired, etc.

Since you haven’t provided us new billing information yet, we thought we’d remind you to please provide us with updated billing information to avoid any billing problems with your account.
