A man has been charged with importing controlled drugs – and possession with intent to supply – after officers disrupted an illegal importation into Macclesfield.
On Tuesday, 27 June, officers intercepted, and seized, a large quantity of what is believed to be cannabis, imported from Spain – due to be delivered to an address in Macclesfield.
Subsequently, Jian Chen, a 42-year-old man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with importing a controlled drug, and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, 27 July.
