Macclesfield Town have announced the signing of midfielder Elliott Durrell.
The playmaker has signed a two-year deal with the Silkmen after spending the last week training at the Moss.
Twenty-seven-year-old Durell was a mainstay in the Chester side last term, appearing in all forty-six league games, forty-two of them from the start, and netting eight times.
Durrell arrived at Chester after a successful season with Tamworth that saw him finish as their top scorer with 13 goals.
Previously Durrell had spent time Wrexham after bursting on to the non-league scene after a prolific spell with Hednesford Town.
Over two seasons Durrell scored 58 goals in ninety-five games for Hednesford to establish himself as one of the hottest properties in non-League football.
More recently Durrell has caught the eye of the TV cameras and had the chance to showcase his talents after being selected for Leicester City and England striker Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy, aimed at providing more opportunities for non-league footballers.
