A man who made lives a misery has been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order following a string of burglaries.
Anthony (Tony) Heathcote, 38, of Redfern Avenue, Congleton was sentenced to 8 weeks in prison back in July 2017 following a string of burglary offences.
On 21 August, Tony was handed a Criminal Behaviour Order at South Cheshire Magistrates with the conditions to not enter any driveway, garage or yard of any house without the consent of the owner or occupier. He is also prevented from touching, entering or attempting to enter any vehicle without the consent of the owner.
PC Emma Burns said: “Tony has caused a misery in the community of Congleton for a number of years after committing a string of burglary offences. The conditions placed on Tony mean that if he reoffends, or attempt to, he will go straight back to prison.
“I hope this sends a strong message that we will not tolerate this kind of criminality in our town, and continue to work closely with our partners to take robust action against those who persistently cause a misery in our community.
“I urge anyone who witnesses Tony breaching any of his conditions to report it directly to us on 101. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
