Three diary dates:
First is Cheshire East Council’s public meeting on the draft Vision, Strategy and Action Plan for Macc.Wed 25th October 5.30 pm-7.00 pm at Macclesfield Town Hall.

This meeting is a chance to hear a summary of the content of the strategy and raise any questions before submitting responses to the consultation.
The second meeting is a Make it Macclesfield (MIM) public meeting on 2nd November, 7.30pm, also about the Plan and also in the Town Hall. The MiM meeting will be facilitated by Professor Cathy Parker, Chair of the Institute of Place Management. There will be project presentations from:
- Ask Estates (Churchill Way cinema development),
- Eskmuir (Grosvenor Centre)
- Peaks and Plains Housing Trust
The project presentations will be followed by speakers from various stakeholder groups including different sectors of the business commmunity. There will then be time for questions.
As a reminder, the consultation runs till 15th November.
Third is the Civic Society’s next meeting, where they will be taking a look at the retail plans for the Barracks Mill site and discussing the potential impact of the development on the town centre strategy. 15 November, 7.30pm, Heritage Centre (meeting rooms on floor below Cinemacc). £2 charge for non-members.
