Prestbury’s oldest hotel, The Bridge, has gone into administration.
The Bridge opened its doors over 60 years ago – providing luxurious accommodation, fine food and a business conference centre. Over the years it’s become part of the very fabric of the village.
The 23-room hotel is still open whilst new owners are sought by the insolvency firm in charge of the hotel, Moorfields Corporate Recovery.
Arron Kendall, joint administrator, said: “The Bridge hotel has been running since 1952 in the heart of Cheshire, but unfortunately fell into financial difficulties earlier this year.
“The hotel has had a good trading history and would be a good purchase for someone wishing to build on the reputation of the existing hotel.”
