Open Meeting
Community ArtSpace: 7.30pm, 23 November 2017
Don’t forget! Open Meetings are your chance to get involved, contribute your two penn’orth, and generally keep your finger on Barnaby’s pulse. Both Mandy Martinez, Festival Manager, and Volunteer Co-ordinator, Anne Davies, will be there to say hello and explore how you might be able to take part next year; so please do come along and join us at Community Artspace on Heapy Street, from 7.30-9pm on Thursday 23 November.
And (in a Roots/Routes Barnaby innovation) we’ve organised for a group to walk up to ArtSpace from the URC on Park Green, leaving at 7.10 pm. It’s not as far as you’d think…though there is a hill or two.
Christmas Social
Help us put the fun into fundraising…
We’re hugely grateful to Aaron Shackleford and Fiona Corston, who’ve very kindly agreed to host a Christmas Social and Fundraiser at their funky Athey Street showroom on Sunday December 17th. We’ll be getting in the festive mood from 3-5.30pm, with carols, special guest performances (including Macclesfield’s own BBC Young Chorister of the Year 2017), mince pies, a raffle – everything you could hope for. It’s the perfect way to extend that Treacle Sunday feeling and help support Barnaby 2018. Please come – and bring some friends!

Silk Town Tales: Friday 24th November
Silk Town Tales is a new storytelling venture from the people who brought you Discussion at the Park. The first of their new storytelling series is this Friday, 24th November, at 7.30pm. Ana Lines, the only Brazilian storyteller in the UK, will be telling “Barbecued Husbands”, a cycle of rainforest tales based on stories collected by Betty Mindlin. The last six tickets are available here; don’t miss out on what promises to be a remarkable and memorable evening.
