Local businessman, Daniel Royston, is breaking new scientific ground with his company, now located at Alderley Park, as Macclesfield MP, David Rutley, learned on a recent visit.
Originally based in Pott Shrigley, EM Analytical moved to Alderley Park in October, and has gone from strength to strength. The company specialises in analytical work for the science sector using high-tech microscope equipment to enable the advanced study of wafer-thin biological, mechanical and electrical samples, such as microchips.
David joined Mr Royston and his young team of five specialist staff for an informal tour of the laboratory, where he learned more about the innovative and highly-specialised work undertaken by EM Analytical. He also heard more about the company’s exciting future plans, building on the expertise at Alderley Park.
Mr Royston, who is Macclesfield born-and-bred, chose to move his business to Alderley Park in recognition of Cheshire East’s growing position as a world-leader for science and innovation, underpinned by the Cheshire Science Corridor.
Speaking after his visit, David said, “It was a great to meet with Daniel and his team and to hear about this Macclesfield science success story. He has demonstrated real entrepreneurial flair and innovative spirit in developing his family’s firm. I wish all at EM Analytical well going forward.”
