Tonight’s (Friday) Illegal Eagles gig at Buxton Opera House will go down as possibly the greatest live band gig I’ve witnessed in more years than I can remember.
A packed Opera House were treated to an absolutely sensational evening of simply brilliant, highly-accomplished musicianship and just tremendous vocal harmonies – and man did the audience respond.
The band contrived to Take it to the Limit covering virtually everyone’s favourite Eagle’s numbers – and several lesser well-known ones – all of which simply blew the audience away. And the more excited the audience became the better the band seemed to get. I don’t ever recall seeing the Opera House rock so hard.
They’re returning to Buxton next February – I’d seriously suggest you book your tickets now because on the strength of tonight’s performance they’ll be sold out in a flash.
This really was One of Those Nights I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
