Celebs go quackers for Manchester Duck Race

30th March 11.00am – 4.00pm

With a few days to go till The Manchester Duck Race on the 30th March and the organisers are delighted to announce that Coronation Street’s Debbie Rush and EastEnders Poppy Rush will be making guest appearances on the day and officially starting the race along with Happy Monday’s and X Factor star Rowetta Satchell.

Debbie and Poppy will also be bringing along their drama school students to help perform a number of songs in the lead up to the race.

The Duck Race, in aid of local children’s charity Brainwave, has become a much anticipated annual event with a wide range of childrens entertainment including Safari Phil, Playfactore,a Giant Doodle Wall from main sponsors Bathroom Takeaway, fun inflatablesand fairground rides.

As well as keeping the children entertained there’s also lots for adults to enjoy including delicious street food from The Wildfire Pizza Company, Dim Sum SU Street Food, popups and Events and ArtiSam, along with ice cream and coffee kiosks.

Activities will start from 11.00am – 4.00pm around the River Irwell, New Bailey, M3 5AX with the official first race starting at 2.00pm.
