A last minute rescue deal will save the jobs at the four Bargain Booze sites in Macclesfield.
Food wholesaler Bestway has agreed to take control of Bargain Booze, Select Convenience, Wine Rack and WS Retail.
The £7 million deal came just a day after administrators were appointed to oversee the running of the troubled business.
Conviviality had issued a number of profit warnings in recent months and also revealed it owed £30m to the taxman. Chief executive Diana Hunter recently stepped down as the extent of the firm’s problems became clear.
Things came to a head last month after Conviviality failed to raise £125m from investors.
In total an estimated 4,000 jobs have been saved as a result of the two deals.
