Employees at AstraZeneca recently held an open weekend at Alderley Park site raising over £3000 for East Cheshire Hospice.
The annual event sees friends and family of AstraZeneca employees descend on the site, which has its own farm.Children and adults were enthralled to see – and in some cases hold the recently born lambs. There was also tractor rides, sheep shearing demonstrations, owls, nature walks and birds of prey demonstrations.
Over 3000 people attended over two days helping boost the fundraising for East Cheshire Hospice. AstraZeneca in the North West elects one charity to support each year and this year it is the hospice.
Organiser Colin Bath said: “We are directing all our fundraising to East Cheshire Hospice who are our charity of the year for 2018. We recognise the great work of the hospice for our local community and it’s great to be able to support them.”
