Silkmen promoted

The Silkmen secured their promotion to League Two next season, after triumphing 2-0 over Eastleigh to claim the Vanarama National League title, with one game still to play.

They needed to secure a victory, and got off to a flying startas Tyrone Marsh scored in the opening few minutes of the match to put the visitors ahead.

Mitch Hancox doubled their lead at the hour mark whilst Eastleigh struggled to threaten in front of the goal.

Macclesfield will be celebrating their title next Saturday, at the close of the season, as they host Dagenham and Redbridge at Moss Rose.
