Staff from Ashfield Healthcare Communications in Macclesfield are gearing up for a busy month battling to win a corporate challenge aimed at raising money for the East Cheshire Hospice.
Employees from across the company’s three Macclesfield sites are taking part in the Hospice’s month-long corporate challenge in which teams are given a £100 loan to generate as much money as possible for the charity, which provides specialist care and support for adults facing life limiting illness.
Staff have already more than doubled their money with ‘The Great Ashfield Bake Off’ which raised £250. There are also cake sales, donut days, staff soup and toastie treats and a raffle all lined up to boost funds further.

Alongside the fundraising raffle and cake sales, some members of the team have also signed up to take on a ‘catwalk challenge’ – modelling at the ‘Fashion & Fizz’ fashion show at Peakside House, Tytherington on Thursday 24th May.
The ‘Fashion & Fizz’ event has been organised with the support of local businesses including local fashion retailer ‘Moulina’ and ‘Simply Scrummy’ who are supplying canapés.
Georgina Cruse, account executive at Ashfield Healthcare Communications, has been leading the team’s efforts. She said: “The East Cheshire Hospice Corporate Challenge is a great opportunity to bring all our Macclesfield employees together to support such a deserving local charity.
“It’s great to work for a company that really cares about the local community and is supportive of our charitable efforts.
“East Cheshire Hospice has a really positive impact on people around our region who are facing extremely tough situations, and we’re glad to be supporting their valuable work.”
April Green, key relationships manager for East Cheshire Hospice, said: “The Corporate Challenge is a fun event that is great for team-building and firing up colleagues’ competitive spirits!
“We’re thrilled to have Ashfield on board – and seeing everything they have planned we are certain that this will be a successful initiative.”
