Detectives are urging witnesses to come forward following a burglary at a car dealership in Sandbach.
At around 2.35am on Monday 21 May the dealership at The Hill on Newcastle Road, Sandbach was broken into and one of the vehicles inside used to ram open the front gate. The offenders drove off in a black Porsche – stolen from the dealership.
The car was found by police officers on Broadway in Hale, Altrincham, at around 4pm on Monday 21 May.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the burglary in Sandbach or saw the Porsche being parked up in Hale to get in touch. They also want to hear from anyone who thinks they may know who the offenders are.
Detective Constable Simon Knowles said: “Thankfully the stolen car has been recovered but the offenders caused damage to the dealership and we are determined to catch them and bring them to justice.
“At least two men carried out the burglary. One of them is described as around 5’ 9” tall with a slim build. He is believed to be in his mid-20s or younger and was wearing dark clothing and had the hood on his top up.
“The other offender was also wearing dark clothing and had the hood on his top up. He had a similar build and height to the other man.
“If you think you know who the offenders are or saw anything suspicious in the area around the time that the burglary took place please call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 69982, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
