Police investigating a burglary at the Windyway animal sanctuary shop in Macclesfield are appealing for witnesses.
Some time between 12 noon on Wednesday 22 August and 4.40 pm on Thursday 23 August an offender broke into a storage shed at the rear of the Windyway shop on Crompton Road, Macclesfield.
The offender smashed the door and stole numerous items from inside before attempting to break into the main shop.
Detective Constable James Hewitt, of Macclesfield Local Policing Unit, said: “We’re keeping an open mind as to whether this burglary is linked to another charity shop burglary (detailed below) on Thursday. While our enquiries continue to identify those responsible I would encourage anyone who may have any information to come forward and call police on 101.”

Cheshire detectives are also investigating another burglary at the shop on Thornton Square where offenders entered by the back door and stole items as well as a quantity of cash.

While we follow a number of lines of enquiry I would urge anyone who has any information to contact police on 101.”
