Staff and management at leading local business Plastic Card Services, were joined by Macclesfield MP, David Rutley, to celebrate 25 years in business and open its new digital printing facility.
Founded in 1993, Plastic Card Services employs 50 and is a leading manufacturer of plastic cards and associated services. David performed the opening ceremony of the new production facility at the company’s recently expanded site in Tytherington Business Park.
Following a tour of the premises with the company’s founders, Rob Nicholls and Tim Holt, David saw the state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment that enables the company to produce over eighty million plastic card products every year.
Speaking after his visit, David said, “It was an honour to visit PCS to join the company’s 25th anniversary celebrations and learn about all that the team has achieved. They are a great example of how a company can grow UK-wide, and, indeed, internationally securing opportunities for the futures of local people. It is also good to see how they have worked with landlords, Orbit, to expand their operations, yet stay in the Macclesfield area.”
