Serious collision in Macclesfield

Emergency services were called to an incident at 7.40 am today, (Thursday 25 October) – a serious collision between a HGV and a motorcyclist on the A536 Congleton Road at The Flower Pot traffic lights in Macclesfield.

Emergency Services are in attendance at the scene a number of roads are currently closed, including the A536 Congleton Road, Ivy Lane, Oxford Road and Park Lane. The closures are expected to remain in place for several hours.

Local diversions are currently in place, although motorist are advised to avoid the area if possible.
